On 9th April 2025, the IPL match No. 23 was played at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat - GT vs RR.

Gujarat Titans Captain Subman Gill won the toss. After looking at the pitch, He elected to bowl, letting RR to bat first.

GT scored the total of 56 for 1 wkt, whereas in return, Rajasthan Royals put 57 for 2 wkts on the scoreboard in 6 overs.

GT explosive batters made 217 for 6 wkts in 20 overs. Sudarshan scored 82 off 53 bowls, Butler 36 off 25, and Shahrukh 36 off 20. 

RR’s Bowling was a bit expensive. Archer took 1 off 30, Deshpande 2 off 53, Theekshana 2 off 54, and S Sharma 1 off 41.

RR’s beginning seemed average. Simran Hetmyer was only one who made 52 off 32 and Samson 41 off 28, totalling 159 in 19.2 overs.

GT’s bowling was tight and effective. Prasidh took 3 wkts off 24, R Khan 2 off 37, and Sai Kishor 2 off 20, remaining 1 wkt each.

GT’s Sai Sudarshan played explosive inning with 8 4s and 3 6s, contributing critical 82 runs off 53 bowls in the middle overs.

RR’s batter Simron Hetmyer gave an outstanding batting performance, contributing important 52 off 33 with 4 4s and 3 6s. 

GT won with 217/6 in 20 overs, giving a target of 218 to RR, who could score 159 all out in 19.2 overs, fell short of 58 runs.
