Madhubani Art comes from the Mithila community in Bihar, India, and parts of Nepal. There are five main styles in Madhubani art: Bharni, Katchni, Tantrik, Godna, and Kohbar.

1 Madhubani Painting

This metal craft called Bidriware started in Bidar during the 14th century. It uses a special blackened mix of zinc and copper, with added layers of pure silver.

These shawls are made from a fine type of cashmere wool. All steps from combing and spinning, to weaving and finishing, is entirely carried out by hand by dedicated craftsmen and women. It is known for their softness.
